Leeroy Jenkins Official Video & References

Leeroy Jenkins – What a legend. Thank god someone was recording it that day. It has left us with many spin-offs and video outtakes with its overlayed sound bytes. If you haven’t played World of Warcraft or been in the game long you might not know who he is. Wikipedia sums it up well:

“Leeroy Jenkins, sometimes miss-spelled Leroy Jenkins and often elongated with numerous additional letters, is an Internet phenomenon named for a character created by player Ben Schulz in Blizzard Entertainment’s popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. The character has become popular thanks to a video of the game that circulated around the Internet. The phenomenon has since spread well beyond the boundaries of the gaming community into other online and mainstream media.”

On that wikipedia page you’ll also see an official WOW game playing card featuring his characters name. He obviously made quite an impression. Featured as the cards description:

“When Leeroy Jenkins enters play, exaust all other allies in your party. They can’t ready during your next ready step.
Say ‘Leeerooooy Jenkins!’ –> Leeroy has ferocity this turn”

This card is pretty usless in game play but otherwise a funny thrill blizzard added to the deck. Below you can see the original video which caused this humorously priceless legend.
