   well look no further, the folks at myg0t (www.myg0t.com) have found a "hack" that lets you turn off 3d skys, which boosts my FPS by at least 10!
   
   you see, normally it doesnt allow you do it in multiplayer games, unless cv_cheats is set to 1, well the only cheating part about this is that you can change the 3dsky off.
   
   so really, it's just a way of getting around idiot valves requirments for a high end PC

   download it there, run it, then start CS:S , numpad 7 will turn off the 3dsky, numpad 8 will turn it back on

   Hey everyone, I got to this forum from google when I was looking to boost my fps, I did this hack and it worked great and because I didn't think it was cheating I didn't think I would get banned, but the VAC servers do think its cheating, and now I am permanatly banned from all VAC servers, so please use caution I think half life 2 single player is ok, but use caution, e.g play in offline mode and finally I hope you have more success than I did and your 35 pounds ,50+ Dollars or whatever, wont go to waste :)
